Wasabi – or Wasabi japonica – is a member of the Brassicaceae family, which includes cabbages, horseradish and mustard.
Wasabi japonica needs very specialised Conditions in order to thrive. The leaves, stems and root are edible and can also be pickled.
Currently only a handful of wasabi farms exist outside of Japan and
It takes approximately 3 years from the planting of the wasabi before it can be harvested. The individual mature plants are harvested by hand and all our Wasabi is Freshwater Wasabi.
The Size of the Rhizomes is Approx 300GR 300GR per piece.
